Course Objectives:

1. Moving Target Engagements:

 4. Decision Making in Shoot and Don't Shoot Scenarios:

   - Train shooters to make split-second decisions in high-pressure situations.

   - Provide realistic scenarios to practice discernment between threats and non-threats.

5. Movement Towards Barricades During Target Engagement:

   - Teach effective movement techniques while engaging targets and utilizing cover.

   - Emphasize the importance of tactical positioning and awareness when approaching barricades.

 6. De-escalation of Volatile and Stressful Situations:

   - Integrate de-escalation tactics into firearms training to promote conflict resolution.

   - Simulate high-stress situations to practice maintaining composure and making sound decisions.

   - Combine marksmanship and movement skills to engage moving targets with precision.

 Delivery Method:

The course will employ a combination of classroom lectures, practical exercises, both dry and live-fire drills. Participants will have the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in realistic scenarios, promoting skill retention and confidence in their abilities.

 Target Audience:

Those seeking advanced training in dynamic firearms engagements and decision-making.

 Prerequisites:

Participants should have a basic understanding of firearms safety and marksmanship fundamentals.

 Assessment:

A non-live fire evaluation will be conducted before the course begins. This will ensure that the participant has the necessary basic firearms skills to accomplish the tasks of engaging moving targets. We will be evaluating your ability to safely draw your weapon from a holster and your movement with a firearm towards cover/concealment. You will fire 20 rounds at a moving target utilizing a laser trainer. You will be required to hit the target area 18 out of 20 times.   

The final assessment will be based on participants' performance in practical exercises, decision-making scenarios, and marksmanship drills. A final evaluation will gauge the overall proficiency achieved during the course.

By the end of this training, participants will be better equipped to handle dynamic situations, engage moving targets effectively, and make informed decisions while prioritizing the safety of themselves and others.

🔹 Mobile Target Engagement Course (MTEC) – MO POST Certified

This three-hour course is designed for law enforcement officers and meets Missouri POST certification standards. Training focuses on advanced engagement techniques using remote-controlled moving targets to simulate dynamic, real-world threat environments.
