CCW PERMIT TRAINING
If you wish to renew your concealed carry certificate and update your endorsement, you must submit a renewal application and the required renewal fee to the sheriff in your county of residence. Upon your successful completion of all renewal requirements, the sheriff or sheriff's designee shall issue a certificate of qualification that must specify the issue date of the renewal and the control number.
To receive a Missouri CCW permit it requires a mandated 8 hour training course in which the following topics are covered:

CCW Permit Training | Missouri Concealed Carry
CCW Permit Training at Greywolf Services covers the Missouri concealed carry permit process, applicable laws, and required training elements for individuals seeking a Missouri CCW permit. This course focuses on legal responsibilities, administrative procedures, and permit-related requirements rather than advanced firearms skills.
Instruction provides an overview of Missouri concealed carry statutes, permit application steps, and considerations for lawful carry. This course is intended to ensure students understand the process and responsibilities associated with obtaining a concealed carry permit.

📌 This course does not replace skills-based firearms training and is designed to complement CCW-1 and higher-level courses.
CCW RENEWAL PROCESS
1. After attending a “Firearms Safety Course”, otherwise known as a “CCW Class”. The class must be taught by a certified instructor who will give you a completion certificate after the course.
2. You then take the completion certificate to the Sheriff or Police Station in which you reside. Be sure to bring proper ID with you. Your driver's license must have your current address.
3. Pay a nominal fee for the background investigation. The price will vary depending upon where you live.
(St. Louis County is $90.00 - St Charles County is $100.00)
4. You will then receive an approval letter (back ground check approval) by certified mail. This will take anywhere from two weeks to forty-five days.
5. You will then take this letter back to your Sheriff’s or Police Station and they will issue the CCW permit.
6. You will be issued your CCW permit from the Sheriff's Department or Police station.
7. Your issued permit will be valid for 5 years and will expire on the last day of the month it was issued.

There are currently 36 States which Missouri has Reciprocity with: They acknowledge our Concealed Carry permits and we acknowledge theirs. Please research the CCW permit law for the state that you will be traveling in. There are differences between the CCW laws from state to state. (Ammunition restrictions, ect..) If you file a renewal application after the expiration date of your endorsement, the sheriff or sheriff’s designee may assess an additional late fee of ten dollars per month for each month the concealed carry endorsement is expired for up to six months. After six months, you will be required to reapply for a new concealed carry certificate and pay new applicant fees.

Be aware that the changes have not been updated on the Attorney Generals website as of 2023.
1. Any police, sheriff, or highway patrol office or station
2. Within twenty-five feet of any polling place on any election day
3. Any correctional facility
4. Any courthouse or building used by a court
5. Any government meeting including state legislature
6. Government owned buildings except public housing
7. Bars. (except owners)
8. Secured parts of airports (Federal)
9. Prohibited by federal law
10. All Schools (including colleges)
11. Child care facilities
12. Casinos
13. Amusement parks
14. Any church (Unless you have permission from the Pastor)
15. Private property with 11X14 sign with one inch letters
16. Arenas and stadiums seating over 5,000
17. Publicly accessible hospitals
18. Bus and Public Transportation (It is a Felony offense for carrying a concealed firearm on the metro link or bus).

CCW Classes will begin at 0800 AM and be completed at approximately 5:00 PM. This is a State mandated 8 hour class.
The CCW Class size is minimum of 2 and no more than 10 students.
To qualify for the concealed carry endorsement, individuals must.
(1) Be at least 19 years of age. Is a citizen or permanent resident of the United States and either:
(a) Has assumed residency in this state; or
(b) Is a member of the Armed Forces stationed in Missouri, or the spouse of such member of the military.
(2) Is at least 19 years of age, or at least 18 years of age and a member of the U.S. Armed Forces or honorably discharged from the U.S. Armed Forces, and is a citizen of the United States and either;
(a) Has resumed residency of this state;
(b) Is a member of the Armed Forces stationed in Missouri; or
(c) The spouse of such member of the military stationed in
Missouri and 19 years of age;
(3) Not have been found guilty of a felony.
(4) Not be a fugitive from justice.
(5) Not have been found guilty, in the five years preceding the application, of a misdemeanor involving a crime of violence or two misdemeanors involving either alcohol-related driving offenses or possession of a controlled substance.
(7) Not be dishonorably discharged from the Armed Forces.
(8) Not have engaged in a pattern of behavior, documented in public records that causes the sheriff to have a reasonable belief that the applicant presents a danger to himself, herself, or others.
(9) Not have been adjudged mentally incompetent or released from a mental health facility for five years prior to the application.
(10) Not be the respondent in a valid full order of protection currently in effect.
(11) Be fingerprinted
(12) Clear a criminal background check by the state and the Federal Bureau of Investigation; and
(13) Comply with training requirements established by the bill by attending a Firearms Safety (CCW) Course.
